Hence the creation of a separate page to store all of the recipes on my blog and it is a happy accident that The types of foods that satisfies the umami taste are incidentally my favourite types of flavours. Umami has been a bit of a buzzword in culinary circles for a while and is often described as the 5th taste in addition to sweet, salty, sour and bitter. In Japanese it simply means a pleasant savoury taste.
